"The Cult Of The Interstellar Fungus God" is the second chill-doom album of "Monegros Acid Resort". This is the "cult" where bands like Om, King Crimson, Mars Volta or Sonic Youth meet to get high.

It was concived as a "single song album", a 66'6" long story to make the listener experiment several moments as if they were watching a film or reading a comic.
An experince of visual imagination, an album to listen with your eyes closed.

The upload limit of bandcamp didn´t allow me to publish the album as a one unitary song, and made me think about the best way to cut the story in pieces, or chapters, and this was the result:

Chapter I: Opening Ceremony.
Chapter II: Golden Teacher Prayer.
Chapter III: Ergot´s Liturgy.
Chapter IV: Holy Muscaria Communion.
Chapter V: Final Sacrifice.

[Important: if anyone would like to have the album as it was concieved (66'6" wav file to burn it in a CD), please send me an email and, as soon as possible, I´ll send you a wetransfer with the complete track without cuts.]

This album is an absolute banger. The riffs are especially groovy this time, the vocals are amazing, and the overall thing is supercatchy. If I'd have to list one downside, it's that the mix is so bass-heavy that the sound only truely comes into it's right when listened on good headphones or extremely good speakers. On anything less it can sound like the bass drowns the rest of the music out. 9/10 Buzzario

Comme Satan Worshipping Doom et Miserable, Terminal est un album qui vraiment toute son ampleur quand il est écouté d'une traite car il s'agit d'une lente agonie qui s'étend sur presque trois-quarts d'heure. Les sonorités psychédéliques propres à Bongripper sont absentes et le stoner/doom metal du quartette tend plutôt vers une sphère atmosphérique (certains arpèges de "Slow" ne sont pas éloignés de celles de Earth) voire funéraire et la mort finit par s'imposer comme la seule évidence possible.
